Program Overview
School nurses will refresh their perspective about how application of the nursing process guides the provision of SNLCM for vulnerable students. Evidence-based current information, tools/resources, and strategies will support the confidence and competence of the school nurse role in promoting health equity for students with a known (asthma) & suspected (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - ME/CFS) health condition using SNLCM.

Learning Outcomes
As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners will be able to:
  • Identify how the tenets within the supporting frameworks provide conceptual support and practical guidance for best practices in SNLCM.
  • Compare and contrast SNLCM to Care Coordination, as defined by the NASN FrameworkTM.
  • Apply the process of SNLCM to a student with a known and suspected health issue.

Intended Audience
This continuing education program is a knowledge-based activity developed to meet the educational needs of registered nurses who are interested in child and adolescent health.
