Evidence-based Practice is the use of assessments, procedures and interventions that have been supported by substantial, peer-reviewed, empirical research demonstrating statistically significant effectiveness in systematic studies.
This program is designed to assist school nurses to use evidence to guide their practice in the school setting.
At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
- Discuss the “ways of knowing" for school nurses' practice and interventions,
- Identify sources for evidence for school nursing practice, and
- Analyze evidence based on the evidence-based pyramid.
