Program Overview
This presentation will illuminate the professional issues surrounding the relationship between the principal and the school nurse as they strive to provide a safe and healthy learning environment. The school nurse is the healthcare professional in the school and needs to be viewed as such. The presenters will also cover leadership strategies needed to build and sustain a working relationship with school administration staff including ways to present your goals and ideas, how to demonstrate your outcomes, how to develop a consensus on a shared vision and conflict resolutions tips. Operationalizing these concepts of professionalism, the goal is to ultimately develop a shared sense of school health.
