Description

U.S. federal prime and subcontractors using international sources of supply must be aware of the extensive export controls governing the flow of domestic and foreign products and information. This session will help participants identify the issues related to foreign sourcing and allow them to evaluate and manage the associated risks. Participants will work through a number of scenarios with proposed foreign sourcing agreements to spot export control trouble spots and develop plans for avoiding issues and minimizing risk.

Learning Objectives:
1. To identify potential trouble spots in foreign sourcing agreements and how they may violate federal export controls.
2. To evaluate and manage the benefits and risks of foreign sourcing in support of federal contracts.
3. To manage the expectations for export control oversight in the prime and subcontractor relationship and build consensus into the subcontract.
