Description

Innovation in acquisition has shifted from a “nice to have” buzzword to an imperative to delivering our current and future missions. Lasting innovation relies on contracting leaders and professionals to actively drive a meaningful culture shift toward new solutions. But where to start?
In the March 2021 issue of NCMA’s Contract Management Magazine, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Chief Procurement Officer, Soraya Correa, and Director of the DHS Procurement Innovation Lab, Polly Hall, discuss the ongoing journey of the federal acquisition community to empower professionals to apply their creativity and ideas to the procurement process. Mission outcomes rely on honest conversations about what works and what doesn’t.
Building on that discussion, this webinar will feature three federal procurement teams who will share their innovation success stories! They will specifically focus on the requirements, objectives, and strategies they used to incorporate innovative approaches. The session will explore how to adapt and leverage lessons learned and promote similar innovation in future procurements.
This interactive webinar will take a video-talk-show-approach where the hosts and guest speakers will seek out questions and input from the audience. The webinar will be recorded and made widely available to serve as part of the federal acquisition community’s growing repository of key use cases and sample documents to scale procurement innovation.
