    The NCS Podcast is partnering with the highly successful Pharmacotherapy of Neurocritical Care Series (PONS) in a limited release to cover pertinent pharmacological topics presented by experts in the field of neurocritical care.

    Dr. Mehrnaz Pajoumand, Co-Chair of PONS, interviews Dr. Ruben Santiago on his PONS presentation "Beyond the Horizon: Exploring the Next Frontier in Anticoagulation Reversal" discussing reversal strategies for direct oral anti-coagulant, DOAC, associated hemorrhage.

    • Ruben Santiago, PharmD, BCPS

      Ruben Santiago, PharmD, BCPS is a clinical pharmacist who specializes in the area of emergency medicine. Dr. Santiago obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida in 2007 and completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Nova Southeastern University in 2011. He completed his post-graduate training at Maimonides Medical Center in 2012 followed by a year of specialization in emergency medicine at The Ohio State University in 2013. Dr. Santiago provides education to healthcare practitioners about emergency medicine pharmacotherapy. Currently, Dr. Santiago is a member of the Neurocritical Care Society and American College of Clinical Pharmacy. His professional interests include the pharmacological management of traumatic brain injury, trauma resuscitation, infectious diseases, and toxicology.
