Description Contributors Susanne Muehlschlegel, MD, MPH, FNCS, FCCM Associate Professor Neurology, Anesthesia/Critical Care and SurgeryUniversity of Massachusetts Medical SchoolWorcester, MADr. Muehlschlegel is an academic neurointensivist and a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors at the Neurocritical Care Society, as well as one of the leaders within the Critical Care/Emergency Neurology Section of the AAN. She is currently funded by a K23 from the NIH/Eunice Kennedy Shriver Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) with the goal to develop Shared-Decision making tools in critically ill TBI patients which will include a novel TBI prognostication score that includes ICU complications. Previously she has held an American Heart/American Stroke Association Scientist Development Grant, and several local seed grants. She reviews for many journals in the field of neurocritical care, as well as the New England Journal of Medicine. She is one of the NSC research fellowship grant taskforce committee members and reviewers. Besides her research she enjoys mentoring students, residents and junior faculty on career development.
