06.04.2019 | Wind Tunnel Testing for Structural Engineers

This webinar will cover the basics of boundary layer wind tunnel testing and how it is used to aid structural design. The different testing approaches used for a range of structures from buildings, to bridges, to smaller structural components will be described. Participants will be shown how to identify projects that would benefit from wind tunnel testing, or where code-based approaches would not be adequate. Examples of wind tunnel test results, and how to interpret them, will be shown. Participants will learn how to conduct basic checks on the validity of wind tunnel test results, and include questions to ask of wind engineers.
