Basics of Strut and Tie Modeling

This webinar will provide a general overview of strut and tie modeling based on the ACI 318 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete and Commentary. It will include discussion of situations where a strut and tie model is appropriate, strut and tie model development, and calculation of strut and tie model strength. The webinar will also include limited discussion of required detailing. A deep beam will be examined as an application of strut and tie modeling for design.

  • Course will award 1.5 hours of continuing education
  • Diamond Review approved in all 50 states
