Description
Introduction to the Wind Design Manual includes a summary
of each of the problems and the authors. It will follow with a deep dive
into Design Example 1, which explores the intricacies of Enclosure
Classification and internal pressures. The presentation will also cover
what constitutes an opening, how to deal with unique geometries, and changes to
these provisions in ASCE 7-16. Topographic
Effects starts with a review of why wind speed up effects occur and how wind
design pressures are affected by topography. Next, the ASCE7-22
Topographic method will be discussed in detail with site examples and tricks to
easily evaluate topography.
