This
is a webinar series that will review all anchor types and the design
provisions in the ACI 318 Code for anchoring to concrete. Anchoring to concrete using code design provisions have been in the ACI 318 code since 2002 for cast-in-place and mechanical expansion anchors. Prior to 2002, design was typically done by using anchor manufacturer’s catalog design tables. Welded headed stud design first appeared in the AASHTO code in the later part of the 1960s and was included in the 1st Edition of the PCI Design Handbook, (1971). The ACI Code anchoring provisions have matured and now are programed in user-friendly, widely available software programs. |
