Contributors Tim Hart, S.E., LEED AP Tim Hart, S.E., LEED AP, has over 30 years of structural engineering experience, is a licensed civil and structural engineer in California, and is a graduate of the Architectural Engineering program at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Tim has worked with Build Change as a structural engineering consultant since 2005 and as the Simpson Strong-Tie Engineering Excellence Fellow since 2019, providing engineering designs, peer reviews, and technical assistance on Build Change projects in 7 different countries, including on-site work in Indonesia, Haiti, the Philippines and Nepal. Michelle Kam-Biron, P.E., S.E., SECB Michelle Kam-Biron is a California licensed structural engineer and Senior Director of Education for the American Wood Council (AWC). She currently volunteers her time on the National Council of Structural Engineers Association (NCSEA) Basic Education, the ICC Professional Development Council Education Committee and is Chair of American Society of Civil Engineers Structural Engineering Institute (ASCE-SEI) Wood Education Committee as well as Chair of the SEAOSC Women in Structural Engineering Committee.
