This presentation is intended for structural engineers who are seeking a full system understanding of the unique design considerations associated with 4-6 story wood structures. Structural design steps, considerations, and detailing best practices related to both gravity and lateral analysis will be covered. Developed in response to a growing interest in mid-rise, multi-family projects, this presentation goes beyond code provisions and focuses on the “how-to” associated with the design and detailing of these wood-frame buildings.
