Masonry
infilled frames are common throughout the world and provide two distinct
advantages – 1) they are easy and economical to construct, and 2) they provide
a strong, ductile system for resisting lateral loads. The 2016 TMS 402 Building
Code Requirements for Masonry Structures contains Appendix B: Design of Masonry
Infills to address their design and construction. This course will
cover the behavior of masonry infills and the TMS 402 design
provisions. Design examples will be presented to illustrate relevant
design procedures.
- Course will award 1.5 hours of continuing education
- This course is Diamond Review approved in 49 states. New York does not accept hours from recordings.
