  • Sherri Monteith

Sherri Monteith is a Learning and Development Manager at Propel Insurance. Before Sherri started her career at Propel, she honed her skill sets of adult learning, technology processes, and system efficiencies during her 30 years in the insurance industry. Her driving goal is to make every Propel employee as successful as possible in their roles.
Sherri received her Master's in Library Science from the University of Washington, where she first realized she could combine her love of teaching with her love of research in general and technology efficiencies in particular.
Sherri is on the board of the PacWest Sagitta chapter of NetVu and is the chairperson of the NetVu chapter committee. When she's not at work, Sherri spends most of her time in Kirkland, WA, where she's learning the fundamentals of empty-nesting and trying to make dents in her reading lists and craft projects.

  • Kate O'Toole

Kate started her career at Seubert & Associates, Inc. (Pittsburgh, PA) as an intern in the Commercial Lines Department. She then took on a full-time position in Seubert’s Surety Department as a Bond Technician. In this role, Kate assisted with the application and issuance of surety bonds, as well as with the input of trend analyses for financial statements. During her time as a Bond Technician, she became the go-to IT guru for the department.

Over time, Kate made another move within the agency. With her intuitive understanding of technology and all that it entails, and a knack for marketing and event planning, Kate accepted the role of IT Educator/Marketing Coordinator. She coordinated a variety of trainings, continually educating employees on industry knowledge and workflow efficiency. She also coordinated internal and external marketing efforts, including agency events.

In 2017, Kate made another move – and a big one. She accepted a position on Cape Cod as the Operations Manager for Dowling & O’Neil Insurance Agency, a Hilb Group agency. She contributed as an influential member of the agency, providing Dowling & O’Neil, as well as The Hilb Group, with best practices strategies, consistent workflows, and effective training programs. Not long after joining Dowling & O’Neil was Kate asked to join the Hilb Corporate Team to assist with agency management system conversions and user training on a national level. However, a new opportunity was going to present itself soon. Kate made another move, all due to NetVU and Vertafore networking, to join Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Agency, Inc. Kate is now coordinating agency operations and lending her organizational skills as the project manager for all agency initiatives.

Kate credits her career moves to the people and connections she has made over the years thru Vertafore and NetVU. She is happy to be a part of an industry where each person wants to see everyone succeed.

Kate earned her M.B.A. in Business Administration from Point Park University in 2013. Her undergraduate degree is from Saint Vincent College, majoring in Elementary Education.
