Small Agencies Round Table Discussion on VPNs

Thank you

This live web event has ended. Thank you for attending.

Description

Please note: This session is intended for agency employees only.
Join your fellow small agency owners and managers for our virtual round table discussion on VPNs. Rigid Bits Cybersecurity guest speakers Dustin Mooney and Ryan Smith will be joining us to provide 15 minutes of planned content plus answer your small agency questions surrounding VPNs. After our VPN piece, we’ve allotted time for an open forum to share experiences and conversations on any topic to help you learn, grow, and improve your business.

What is a VPN and what are VPNs important? VPN stands for "virtual private network." According to Merriam-Webster, “A VPN is a private computer network that functions over a public network. As more employees connect to their office networks from home, they expose the company to attacks. A VPN lets companies use the Internet as a secure pathway into their existing network.”

We will discuss:
•What is a VPN, and how does it work?
•When does it make sense to use one?
•What configurations should your VPN have in place?
•How else should you protect your business while using a VPN?
•How can we make sure I have secure ways for staff to work remotely and from home?
•What else besides VPNs should businesses consider to protect themselves and client data?

Our conversation will be geared towards agencies with 1-19 employees and isn't system-specific. There are many things that larger agencies have departmentalized that smaller agencies have to make time to do outside of their normal operations. Bring your questions. We encourage you to plan on sharing your webcam.
