Isaacson, MD, FAAN On-Demand Therapy for Off-Episodes in Parkinson’s Disease Off episodes continue to occur and affect daily activities despite adjustments to oral levodopa regimens and polypharmacy. Gastric dysmotility and variable intestinal absorption can delay clinical benefit of levodopa doses.
