This program provides an overview of Texas groundwater laws and the roles of local and state government in the management of groundwater. The purpose, function and funding of groundwater conservation districts is to discuss the creation of districts, the general effects of groundwater districts activities with regard to water wells and well drillers. This program will also cover the definitions and resulting requirements for the designation of groundwater management areas and priority management. This course of instructions qualifies as credit for water well drillers, pump installer, etc.
