2020 MOWA Fall Soils CE Seminar

Hybrid Learning – 2020 Soils CE Seminar Agenda

This 6-hour hybrid workshop has been designed using online and in-person components (in response to the COVID-19 pandemic) to meet the requirements for soils specific training under MN Rules Chapter 7083.0160.

The classroom portion of this class will occur on September 21st from 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM via zoom and the field portion will be broken into 4 small groups to allow for social distancing.

To participate in the online portion you must have:
  • An internet connection (broadband wired or wireless, with 600kbps down);
  • A computer/device with speakers (built-in or plug-in, or wireless Bluetooth);
  • Google Chrome web browser (software) is recommended;
  • A webcam for attendance verification (either built-in to the computer/device, or plug-in)
  • An individual guest account and email for each participant; and
  • Certification number for CE credits.
Each attendee must be present and visible via your webcam for the entire live event to receive credit.  Several technology check options will exist prior to the class for those wanting to test their system or who are not familiar with the Zoom platform.

Cancellation Policy: 
  • If you cancel due to COVID symptoms, medical-advised quarantine, caring for others, or another COVID-related cause, or fail the health screening in-person at check-in a credit will be applied to your file for the field portion of the course.
  • All cancellations for non-COVID reasons must be received in writing by MOWA staff ( 4 business days prior to the online seminar. All refunds will be made in the same manner as payment minus a $30 cancellation fee. 
  • If you are asked to leave the class due for not complying with requirements for social distancing, facial coverings, or other protocols, the learner will forfeit their entire course fee.
  • In the event that classes are cancelled due to state, local, or University restrictions, a full refund will be issued.
