Controls, Pumps and Float Replacement

Description:  This will provide an overview of the use and operation and maintenance for systems employing a pump. The session will describe various pump applications, sizing, and service requirements, including flow measurement using a pump. The use of the control panel to troubleshoot the system will also be discussed.

Learning Objectives:  Understand the proper selection process for the pump including sizing, and layout of the connections into the distribution system, determination of proper float settings for required dose volumes in both demand dosing and timed dosing, calculating the flow using a cycle counter or elapsed time meter, and understanding repair and replacement of pumps and floats.
