Target Audience New graduate women’s health nurse practitioners (WHNPs), and other nurse practitioners involved in women’s and gender related healthcare.

Approval CE Approval Period: April 4, 2022, through April 4, 2025
Post-tests must be completed during the approval period with a passing score of 70% or higher to earn CE. No refunds will be issued if the activity is not completed within the approval period.

Objectives
  1. Describe appropriate diagnosis, management, and treatment of common sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
  2. Describe appropriate diagnosis, management, and treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).
  3.  Describe appropriate diagnosis, management, and treatment of common vaginal infections.

Content Outline
  1. Common sexually transmitted infections: Chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, HPV/genital warts. Less common sexually transmitted infections. Molluscum contagiousum, syphilis, chancroid, Lymphogranuloma venereum.
  2. Nongonococcal urethritis. 
  3. Pelvic inflammatory disease.
  4. Other vaginal infections: Bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, candidiasis.
