Target AudienceNew graduate women’s health nurse practitioners (WHNPs), and other nurse practitioners involved in women’s and gender related healthcare.

Objectives

1. Discuss the incidence, etiology, potential complications, assessment, diagnosis, and management of multifetal gestations.
2. Review the incidence, risk factors, assessment, diagnosis, and management of perinatal infections including viral, bacterial and parasitic.

Content Outline

1. Multifetal gestation.
2. Perinatal infections: Viral, bacterial, and parasitic. Cytomegalovirus (CMV), Toxoplasmosis, Rubella, Varicella Zoster, Parvovirus B19, Listeriosis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Bacterial Vaginosis, Trichomoniasis , Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), Syphilis, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Tuberculosis (TB), Hepatitis, Urinary Tract Infections, GBS, Zika Virus, Influenza, Coronavirus.
