Target Audience New graduate women’s health nurse practitioners (WHNPs), and other nurse practitioners involved in women’s and gender related healthcare.

Approval CE Approval Period: April 4, 2022, through April 4, 2025
Post-tests must be completed during the approval period with a passing score of 70% or higher to earn CE. No refunds will be issued if the activity is not completed within the approval period.

Objectives

1. Identify risk factors, signs/symptoms, and differential diagnoses related to common        cardiovascular (CV), EENT, respiratory disorders, and GI disorders.
2,  Discuss tests commonly used in the diagnosis of cardiovascular, EENT, respiratory        disorders, and GI disorders. 
3. Describe the management of common cardiovascular, EENT, respiratory disorders,        and GI disorders. 

Content Outline
  1. Cardiovascular disorders: Hypertension, Thromboembolic disease, Dyslipidemia.
  2. Upper Respiratory Disorders: Basic Upper Respiratory Infection/Common Cold, Conjunctivitis, Rhinitis, Sinusitis, Pharyngitis, Otitis Externa, Otitis Media.
  3. Lower Respiratory Disorders: Asthma and Bronchitis.
  4. GI disorders: GERD, IBS, Hemorrhoids, Cholecystitis, Appendicitis.

Accreditation StatementThis activity has been evaluated and approved by the Continuing Education Approval Program of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) for 1.25 continuing education contact hours.
