Target Audience New graduate women’s health nurse practitioners (WHNPs), and other nurse practitioners involved in women’s and gender related healthcare.

Approval CE Approval Period: April 4, 2022, through April 4, 2025
Post-tests must be completed during the approval period with a passing score of 70% or higher to earn CE. No refunds will be issued if the activity is not completed within the approval period.

Objectives
  1. Describe the mechanism of action and indications for select drugs commonly prescribed for women.
  2. Identify contraindications, side effects, adverse reactions, and drug-drug reactions.
  3. Discuss appropriate patient education for safe use of select drugs commonly prescribed for women. 

Content Outline
  1. Pharmacotherapeutics: for medications commonly prescribed in women’s health, prescribing patterns .
  2. Antimicrobials.
  3. Antifibrinolytics.
  4. Antimuscarinics - Anticholinergics.
  5. Drugs for Smoking Cessation.
  6. Drugs for Nausea & Vomiting of Pregnancy.
