2021 OEC Refresher B - Online Module

Successful completion of the 2021 OEC Cycle B Refresher requires completion of three components:

The OEC Refresher Workbook must be reviewed, and answer sheet submitted at the direction of the Instructor of Record.

The knowledge-based objectives must be reviewed (see below) and,

The Skills-based objectives must be successfully demonstrated.

At the direction of the Instructor of Record for the refresher you are attending the review of the Knowledge-based objectives may be met by completion of this Online portion of the Hybrid Refresher and printing the certificate of completion or attending the discussion and review of the knowledge-based objectives along with the hands-on portion of the skills refresher (Traditional type of refresher). To receive credit for the Refresher, members must enroll in a 2021 OEC Refresher B course via the NSP course schedule.

  • This portion of the hybrid course is set up with 9 online modules in video format, accompanied by short quizzes that make up the knowledge-based review of the objective requirements for this cycle. Total expected time to complete this online refresher is ~1-1.5 hours.
  • You may pause or go back at any time. At the end of narration there is a few moments of silence for your opportunity to pause the slide and then restart to move onto the next slide. All technicians must complete the modules and quizzes in order. If you log out then return, the system will take you back to where you left off. Voice overs start a few seconds after each slide changes. You can pause each slide until you have read the slide then listen to the additional information included in the audio.
  • When you complete a video, click on the green "Go to next item" button to continue.
  • To complete a quiz, you must get 100% correct. When you pass the quiz, click on the green "Go to next item" button to continue.
  • Once all videos and quizzes are complete, you will be able to download and print your certificate. There is a blue "Print certificate" button below the certificate. The certificate is also available in your online learning system profile where it shows your name near the top right. The certificate is not available in your NSP profile.
