It’s a time to celebrate the basic right of living as we are without judgement. Join this lively panel discussion with experts in gender, health/disability, and racial discrimination and walk away with concrete ideas to implement within your professional and personal communities. The conversation will continue in an upcoming NWI Journal article by experts from the National Wellness Institute Multicultural Competency Committee, which will provide additional ideas and resources for moving forward.

Ellen Kocher is an Economist and Certified Workplace Wellness Consultant. She holds a master’s degree in Health & Wellness Coaching, is a Health and Mindful Eating Coach, and is co-leader of the ICF Health and Wellness Coaching Community of Practice. Through her company, Whealthness, she has dedicated the past 20 years to nutrition and workplace wellness through holistic health, and self-care. Ellen has coached hundreds of individuals and groups in dozens of organizations.

Anita Mwalui is a member of the National Wellness Institute (NWI) Board of Directors and Chair of the NWI Multicultural Competency Committee. She is a Community Health Researcher, Public Health and Certified Wellness Practitioner who has spent a decade developing strategies to improve community engagement in the hard-to-reach communities and populations. Dr. Mwalui emphasizes the importance of culturally appropriate strategies in education where multicultural competence influences the continuum of her work. She is a subject matter expert in Multicultural Competence, Cross-Cultural Content developer and a facilitator in the Wellness that Works: Beyond DEI certificate course.
Andrew Parsons, PhD, MSc, PPABP, Wellness Consultant, Reciprocal Minds Limited
Andrew Parsons is an experienced wellness practitioner and has been coaching and mentoring within organizations at professional and executive levels for over ten years. He has undertaken training in several coaching certifications including professional (co-active) coaching (GSK, Coaching Development), NLP (Quest Institute) and medical coaching (Medical Coaching Institute). He has an MSc and PhD in Physiological Sciences and an MSc in Psychology. He is also a qualified hypnotherapist and EFT practitioner. Andrew is a member and Master Practitioner in the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. He is a Wellness Consultant with Reciprocal Minds Limited in the United Kingdom and is an active member of the NWI Multicultural Competency Committee.
