2021 Prosthetics and Orthotics for Physicians, Powered by Rusk Rehabilitation

Course Description
Our Prosthetics and Orthotics course provides a comprehensive overview of upper and lower extremity prosthetics and orthotics for both children and adults. This course is geared to physicians who work with individuals who have experienced limb loss as well as those who require orthotics due to conditions ranging from neuromuscular diseases to spinal cord injury. Our course speakers are nationally and internationally recognized leaders in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.

The focus of the course is not only on the basic principles of prescribing prosthetics and orthotics but also on the impact of new technology and its effect on exercise and energy expenditure. Participants will become familiar with the body of scientific evidence that supports their clinical prescription and understand the benefits of advanced prosthetic and orthotic technology to address patient- specific functional goals for community activities, including exercise and vocational needs.
