2024 Prosthetics and Orthotics Course for Physicians





Course Description
Our Prosthetics and Orthotics course provides a comprehensive overview of upper and lower extremity prosthetics and orthotics for both children and adults. This course is geared to physicians who work with individuals who have experienced limb loss as well as those who require orthotics due to conditions ranging from neuromuscular diseases to spinal cord injury.

Our course speakers are nationally and internationally recognized leaders in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.The focus of the course is not only on the basic principles of prescribing prosthetics and orthotics but also on the impact of new technology and its effect on exercise and energy expenditure.

Participants will become familiar with the body of scientific evidence that supports their clinical prescription and understand the benefits of advanced prosthetic and orthotic technology to address patient- specific functional goals for community activities, including exercise and vocational needs.

Refund Policy
In order to request a refund you must email Krystal.Pearce@nyulangone.org no later than 14 days prior to the first day of the course. An administrative fee of $75 will be deducted from your refund. Cancellations or no-shows after this date are not eligible for a refund. Registration is non-transferable.

Course Cancellation Policy
If a live course is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, or any other reason, Rusk Rehabilitation will refund registration fees in full. Rusk Rehabilitation will provide at least two weeks’ advance notice if cancelling due to insufficient enrollment and as soon as possible in all other circumstances. Rusk Rehabilitation is not responsible for any non-cancellable costs incurred by the registrant.

In the unlikely event that a recorded course is cancelled/not available for the 1 year time period as advertised, the registration fee will be refunded in full.
