Quality Improvement  in Rehabilitation Practice

This course was created for clinicians for several reasons. Firstly, to increase awareness of the quality of our own rehabilitation practice. Secondly, learn the process of how to assess the quality of our work. Finally, to identify problems and opportunities for improvement at a higher frequency.

The barriers to rehabilitation clinicians incorporating meaningful quality improvement activities in their practice flow are numerous. We may be lacking dedicated time, relevant knowledge and skills, or the confidence to rock the boat. However, becoming more comfortable with quality improvement and systematically incorporating it in our practice can infuse meaning, impact engagement, open the door to a new community of practice, and, most importantly, improve the quality of care we provide to our patients.

Other benefits include eligibility for administrative roles, expanded skills set transferrable between jobs, and improved patient satisfaction.

Whilst there are no pre-requisites for this introductory course, highly motivated learners who have some experience with online or hybrid learning will do best.
