Recorded Webinar- Roll for Initiative: Using Games in Therapy

Therapy is hard work; but that doesn’t mean it can’t also be fun and games. Join Hayley Twyman Brack as she discusses incorporating both analog and virtual board games into child and adolescent therapy beyond building rapport. This workshop will explore utilizing board games and virtual gaming to provide evidenced-based treatment interventions in the counseling setting. Attendees will also learn about the phenomenon commonly referred to as “rage quitting,” watch demonstrations on using games in various therapy settings, and hopefully have a little fun in the process.

The objectives for this course include:

1. Discussing the use of games in providing evidenced-based treatment interventions.
2. Applying the frustration-aggression hypothesis in understanding the concept of “rage quitting.”
3. Explore using gaming in both the in-person and virtual counseling settings.
