Domestic Violence in Oklahoma: Supporting Clients Through Treatment and Resources
Interpartner violence is a complex issue that affects many clients. Join Hayley Twyman Brack as she explores and discusses resources, interventions, and Oklahoma-specific statistics that aim to allow clinicians to better serve clients experiencing the effects of interpartner violence. The workshop will review special considerations for the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as rural Oklahoma. Attendees will also leave with resources for clinical use and referrals for additional services.

The objectives for this course include:
1. To discuss Oklahoma-specific resources for supporting clients experiencing domestic violence.
2. To examine considerations for safety planning with clients.
3. To explore special considerations for vulnerable or secluded populations, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community and rural Oklahoma.

Hayley Twyman Brack, MA LPC
Hayley holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Hayley earned an Honors College Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a second in Multidisciplinary Studies from Oklahoma State University, where she also served as a research assistant in two psychology laboratories. Hayley is a clinician with Edmond Counseling & Professional Development and the Education Specialist with the Oklahoma Counseling Institute. She has training and experience in the treatment of trauma, grief, and anxiety-related disorders. Hayley is also a writer for OCI, the Lost Ogle, and more and cohost of the board gaming podcast, Malthaus Games.
