Recorded Webinar- Written Exposure Treatment for PTSD

Written Exposure Treatment for PTSD
There are several evidence-based, gold standard treatment protocols for PTSD (such as prolonged exposure or cognitive processing therapy), but they require extensive training and anywhere from 12-16 sessions to show large improvement. In addition, they require high levels of motivation and between-session homework from clients. The Written Exposure Treatment (WET) for PTSD is a cognitive-behavioral, evidence-based treatment that takes place over 5 sessions, requires minimal training for the practitioner, has no homework, and has been shown to work as well as 12 sessions of CPT. This workshop will discuss the theory and evidence behind WET as well as how to implement it in various settings.

The objectives for this course include:
1. Describe evidence supporting use of the Written Exposure Treatment (WET) for post-traumatic stress symptoms.
2. Know what populations would most likely benefit from this specific treatment modality.
3. Be familiar with the WET protocol and how to apply it in a variety of clinical settings.
