This webinar will discuss the concepts of secondary trauma and vicarious trauma when working with first responders and the resulting impact of compassion fatigue and burnout on mental health professionals. Mental health professionals who provide services to first responders often feel frustrated and overwhelmed. This webinar will provide education on defining, identifying and assessing for symptoms of secondary trauma and vicarious trauma, discuss mental health intervention approaches and help professionals build an individualized action plan, focused on self-care, self-compassion, professional coping, and action-based resiliency.
