This course meets criteria for 3 hours of general continuing education by the Oklahoma Board of Behavioral Health for Oklahoma LPC and LMFT license holders, by the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers (provider #20240088) for Oklahoma LCSW license holders, by the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselors (certificate #20240018) for LADC and CADC license holders (3 hours non-specific CEs), and for Oklahoma case managers (3 hours strength-based CEs).

Dr. Ami Bax
Dr. Ami Bax is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Section Chief at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC). She received her undergraduate degree in Musical Arts from the University of Oklahoma, M.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine-Tulsa, and a Master’s in Clinical and Translational Science from OUHSC. She is an Oklahoma Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities graduate and now serves as Oklahoma LEND Program Co-Director. She is also the Vice Chair for the OK UCEDD-LEND Consumer Advisory Committee. Dr. Bax is the medical director for the OU Health Child Study Center and directs the Child Study Center’s JumpStart Preschool Autism and Developmental Delay Evaluation Clinic. She also enjoys providing diagnostic and treatment care for children with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, anxiety, and other behavioral health problems. She directs the OU Developmental & Behavioral Pediatric Fellowship program and has conducted interdisciplinary research related to pediatric residents’ parenting advice, preschool ADHD, neurobiologic differences in children with autism and ADHD, and developmental follow-up evaluation program for children post-single ventricle palliation. Dr. Bax has mentored fellows, residents, and other trainees and expanded collaborations with faculty in DBP, General Pediatrics, Allied Health, Genetics, Pediatric Cardiology, and Pediatric Critical Care. Dr. Bax is a member of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and serves on its Autism, Practice Issues, and Fellowship Director Committees. She also is a member of the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Research Network Steering Committee and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Tabitha Fleming
Dr. Tabitha Fleming is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She is a licensed psychologist and a trainer in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Her clinical work is focused on evidence-based and trauma-informed assessment and intervention for children of various ability levels who have experienced traumatic events and/or exhibit behavioral difficulties. Dr. Fleming has a particular clinical and research interest in adaptations of evidenced-based care to meet the needs of families with marginalized identities and children with developmental differences. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trained in the Problematic Sexual Behavior – Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy model for adolescents with illegal or problematic sexual behaviors.
