While TADs can enable enhanced treatment outcomes, utilizing
them properly takes experience and time. In this webinar, Dr. Bovenizer
discusses how to use TADs in a variety of situations, including cases with
vertical maxillary excess, mid-treatment cant development, adult protrusion,
and a Class II case with negative overjet/overbite. He reviews his protocols in
detail, including torque selection, timing of placement, as well as his
criteria for TAD and powerchain selection. Finally, he offers best-practices on
selecting torque in anticipation of the forces applied when using TADs,
guidance on how to maintain light forces to avoid unwanted effects, and
recommendations on frequency of visits.
Key Learning Objectives:
- Explore how TADs can enhance finishes and patient results in a variety of difficult case types
- Understand the value of torque selection in anticipation of TAD usage
- Consider the value of using light forces for both patient results and case management
- Guidance on management of patient compliance given the additional complexity of TAD utilization
