Sleepy Cat - Feline Anesthesia with Erica Mattox CVT, VTS (ECC)

This webinar was recorded on June 28, 2020
Providing anesthesia for the feline patient can test the skills of any veterinary professional. Let's face it, feline patients can be challenging, and they are not “small dogs.” Due to their small size they are difficult to monitor under anesthesia and to keep warm. They are also easy to stress and often misunderstood by clients and staff which can result in a dangerous situation for the patient and staff. Feline patients also have subtle signs of disease including renal and heart disease that is not apparent without a preoperative workup, or unfortunately, after the stress of anesthetic induction. This presentation will cover potential anesthetic considerations for felines.
