If you follow some of the online orthodontic forums you may be left with the impression that the sky is falling and the end of orthodontics as we know it is near at hand. There is no question that the state of orthodontics is evolving. As more consolidation occurs within the orthodontic space many orthodontists are becoming fearful for their future. As is often the case in life we often do ourselves a disservice when we resist change and defend our paradigm. Defining your office’s mission and culture can be one of your greatest assets while navigating our ever changing environment. With the right perspective and attitude challenges can be turned in to opportunities.

Aaron Molen, DDS, MS
Dr. Aaron Molen is an internationally recognized speaker on merging technology and orthodontics. He serves on the Technology Editorial Board for the AJO-DO and has published several papers and textbook chapters on the topic. He previously served on the PCSO Board of Directors and is currently the Chair of the AAO's Committee on Technology. Dr. Molen’s practice includes three locations south of Seattle and maintains a strong social media presence. He is an avid traveler and has swum in all 5 oceans and visited all 7 continents. He loves spending his free time with his wife and three beautiful children.
