People & Perspectives: Kathryn Bayne - Perspectives on Animal Use in Research

Kathryn Bayne wanted to be a veterinarian since childhood. She talks about being influenced by Jane Goodall, her career with AAALAC, the benefits of the IACUC conference and her current heroes in the field. (March, 2013)

People & Perspectives (P&P) is a digital oral history library supported by Public Responsibility in Medicine & Research (PRIM&R).

P&P features stories of those working in research ethics, many of whom were involved in the early years of the field. Those featured include IRB and IACUC professionals, research staff, committee members, institutional officials, researchers, subjects, advocates, regulators, industry representatives, ethicists, and others who consider themselves part of the human subjects and animal care and use enterprise.
