SBER Network Virtual Roundtable (2021-09): Collaborating with the Registrar for FERPA Compliance

The SBER Network hosts occasional Virtual Roundtables, one-hour online meetings with 30 minutes of presentation and 30 minutes of discussion among attendees. SBER Network Virtual Roundtables are not eligible for continuing education credit.

SBER Network co-facilitator, Linda Mayo, CIP, presents details of The University of New Mexico IRB office's collaboration with the university registrar to better understand each other's current practice for research data requests. This roundtable provides insights into the identification of problem areas, the creation of a fact sheet for researchers, and the IRB's monitoring of research involving FERPA protected data.

This roundtable took place on September 29, 2021

The SBER Network
(in the PRIM&R Online Community) is open to all PRIM&R members involved in social, behavioral, and educational research and provides a space for members to discuss the unique aspects and challenges of SBER work.
