Learn how to create a data-sharing plan that operationalizes flexibilities built into the DMS policy to respect Tribal sovereignty.

This webinar will provide an overview of:
  • NIH Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Policy, which goes (went) into effect on January 25, 2023, and
  • An associated resource, Supplemental Information to the NIH Policy for Data Management and Sharing: Responsible Management and Sharing of American Indian/Alaska Native Participant Data
  • To discuss considerations and best practices for the responsible and respectful management and sharing of AI/AN participant data under the NIH DMS Policy
  • To describe Tribally-focused data sharing plans that illustrate how to operationalize the flexibilities that have been built in to the DMS to respect Tribal sovereignty
