AGENDA
Welcome and Introduction
Understanding the Pathophysiology of COVID-19
Recognizing
Clinical and Patient Features that Increase Risk of COVID-19 Infection and
Associated Complications in Patients with Inflammatory Skin Conditions
Recommendations
for Managing Dermatology Patients in the COVID-19 Pandemic
Q&A Session
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Patients
with inflammatory skin conditions like atopic dermatitis and psoriasis are at
greater risk for infection or complications from COVID-19 due to their
high-risk comorbidities and use of immunosuppressive medications. These
patients require specialized care during this time to reduce their risk of
exposure and infection. This activity, “Dermatology and COVID-19 in the
Outpatient Setting: What Clinicians Need to Know” will provide dermatology
clinicians with the most up-to-date guidance on managing patients with
inflammatory skin conditions during the current pandemic, including information
on the pathophysiology of Sars-Cov-2, the risk of infection in these patients,
and strategies to manage patient care and counsel through telemedicine.
