2023 Nephrology Coding and Billing


COURSE DESCRIPTION

This unique workshop is designed to equip participants with a greater understanding of proper documentation and CPT coding and billing specifics for various renal-specific scenarios. After completing this course participants will gain a greater understanding of the federal and regulatory requirements for proper nephrology coding, billing, and documentation.

You'll learn about coding and billing issues in the following specific areas:
  • Outpatient E&M changes from 2021
  • Inpatient E&M changes for 2023
  • Inpatient and outpatient dialysis care
  • Interventional nephrology/dialysis vascular access services
  • Care management services (Chronic Care Mgt., Transitional Care Mgt, Principal Care Mgt., Advanced Care Planning)
  • Claims Review and Audits
Continuing Education Credit
This program meets AAPC guidelines for 6.5 CEUs. Can be split between Core A and all specialties except CIRCC and CASCC for continuing education units.
