This webinar focuses on APOL1-Mediated Kidney Disease. AMKD is a genetic condition responsible for a substantial portion of excess kidney disease suffered by African Americans, presenting from early onset nephrotic syndrome to what we have mislabeled "hypertensive" chronic kidney disease. Understanding of AMKD casts new light on kidney disease disparities and illuminates the path to precision medicine.
