Data Validation: We're still using EDC, then where have the data discrepancies gone?

2018

Overview

In our 2017 Validation Webinar, "We're using EDC, then why so many data discrepancies?" we reviewed current best practices and examined process changes for utilization of EDC systems for data validation. [Available in the "on-demand webinars" section here!]
What was clear from the Webinar, was that without understanding your data, your systems, and your expectations of quality, there was not a "concrete", "black and white", "perfect response" as to why so many discrepancies. The physical processes may have changed, yet perhaps we needed to dig deeper?
In this new Validation webinar, we will take a step back and examine some basic universal Data Management assumptions and processes related to Data validation within EDC. Providing more hands-on advice, case stories, and implementation ideas to allow an understanding of when and how the variance of the process may be necessary. All towards the goal of providing the best quality data for use, utilizing systems at hand.

Learning Objectives

The webinar will cover the following learning objectives:
• Identify universal Data Management assumptions and processes related to Data validation within EDC
• Understand types of data use
• Explore process change, for use of EDC systems for data validation

Who should attend

Data Managers with intermediate through advanced levels of experience with determining Data validation checks and metrics. Participants will benefit from this Webinars' review of current Data Validation methodologies used in EDC systems.
