OVERVIEW 

This webinar will take participants on a journey through the features of MedDRA and the associated tools including the MedDRA browser. It will focus on Coding Conventions, Upversioning, and the associated tools. The session will cover:

  • MedDRA background
  • Coding Conventions and the MedDRA Term Selection: Points to Consider (PTC)
  • MedDRA Versioning
  • MedDRA Tools-Demonstrations
The presentation will utilize polls in order to be interactive and will include a live demo of the tools available to users including the MedDRA browser.

  1. Obtain a basic understanding of the structure, scope, and maintenance of MedDRA
  2. Identify the tools available with MedDRA
  3. Obtain a basic understanding of the MedDRA Term Selection: Points to Consider Document
  4. Obtain a basic knowledge around navigating the MedDRA browser

This webinar is intended for beginners that would like a basic understanding of the MedDRA dictionary and the associated MedDRA browser or intermediate users that would like a refresher.

Nicole Fornarotto is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Biology and a minor in Kinesiology. Nicole has spent her career working with MedDRA in a variety of roles inlcuding leading Medical Coding teams in Clinical and Post-Marketing.
