Great Wines of Europe

*NOTE: purchasing this course gives access to all future live webinars in this series. Recordings of previous webinars in this series can be purchased here.*
In this webinar series, we explore five European wine regions producing some of the world's greatest wines. In each session, we will discuss key taste characteristics of each region, and any subregions or villages; vintages; changing winemaking styles and current trends or fashions.

This course will be useful for anyone wishing to understand in more detail the difference, say, between St. Julien and St. Estèphe in Bordeaux; or Côte Rôtie and Cornas; or how 'grower' Champagne is different from the big houses; or how climate change is changing the taste of the great French wines.

As a prompt for the discussion, attendees of the live webinars will be invited to submit notes on any wines they have open at home. Please see each webinar description for wines to source. There is, however, no suggested number of wines to taste in each session. It goes without saying that these wines are expensive and there is no expectation that attendees will have available bottles of each different major Bordeaux appellation, for example.

Notes: please review the FAQ here before purchasing. No wine is included in the price of these webinars.  All paid registrants automatically receive access to each webinar recording approximately two hours after the end of the webinar.
