This interactive session will give members an opportunity to learn more about what microaggressions are, hear examples that might happen in the workplace, and learn about a tool that helps to interrupt microaggressions when they occur.

  • Je'Nai Talley Jackson, MSW, LMSW

    Je'Nai Talley Jackson, MSW, LMSW, serves as the Team Lead of Operations and Project Management for the EDIJ practice at Nonprofit HR. She brings over 15 years of experience in the fields of education, youth development, and equity, diversity, inclusion and justice. Je'Nai has provided EDIJ technical assistance to organizations all around the country with the goal of centering equity in organizational strategy and fostering inclusive environments. Her ability to provide support around staff capacity, assessment, implementation, fidelity, evaluation and sustainability prove instrumental. Je'Nai's success lies in her emphasis on collaboration, communication and relationships. She is used to leading large, cross-departmental projects, as well as working with community partners. At the heart of everything she does is a focus on building connections with people and listening to all stakeholders' voices. Je'Nai is from Detroit and attended the University of Michigan, earning both her Master of Social Work (MSW) and her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in African American and African Studies. She is also a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). Additionally, Je'Nai is a foodie who enjoys spending time with loved ones and has been to every continent except Antarctica, which she plans to do one day!
