Description:
This webinar will review the codes and standards affecting the various facilities with many types of batteries. The program will provide an overview of NFPA 855 Chapter 14 as well as requirements found in the 2024 edition of the International Fire and Building Code.

Learning Objectives:
Participants in this webinar are expected to learn:

  1. Students will be able to identify additional code requirements for the manufacture, storage, and testing of lithium ion batteries in model building codes
  2. Students will have a general understanding of best practices.
  3. Students will be able to describe the role of the FPE in project design and submittal
