Solo Librarianship is a position that allows for many unique and varied experiences, with lots of helpful skills to be learned along the way. Join us as Alicia Biggers presents a discussion about Solo Librarianship Skills.

Alicia has over 15 years of experience in corporate information and library services with more than half serving as a “solo” librarian. These experiences have taught her invaluable skills in communication and collaboration. She is presently employed with Albemarle Corporation which is a specialty company, engaging in developing, manufacturing, and marketing chemicals for consumer electronics, petroleum refining, utilities, packaging, construction, transportation, pharmaceuticals, crop production, food-safety, and custom chemistry services.

Her undergraduate studies were in social science/economics while her graduate studies were in information sciences. She is a member of the Industrial Technical Information Management Group (ITIMG), a long-time member of SLA, and a former member of the Conference Board’s Information Research Management Council.
