Description

As a national library, the British Library has been collecting patents and many other items of scientific and innovative significance over the decades. This talk will highlight the special subject collections that are of importance for technology, engineering, and scientific research. Delivering the talk will be the British Library’s Intellectual Property Expert, Jeremy O’Hare, who has worked on the Innovating for Growth and Erasmus for Young Business projects which have help hundreds of businesses innovate and grow. Jeremy will also discuss the work of the PatLib network in the UK, the Intellectual Property Office, European Patent Office and other information partners. Our host, Seema Rampersad, SLA President-Elect and currently Service Manager of the Business & IP Centre, will discuss how the Centre supports reference and enquiry work for the tech, engineering, and scientific community at the British Library and beyond.
